Youth Ministry
Baptist Students' Ministry - It is certainly one of the most successful youth ministries of Kampala Baptist Church. It has ministered Christ’s message of deliverance, hope and love to many college and university students over the years. Formerly based at Wandegeya, next to Makerere University.
The University/college ministry is now based at Kampala Baptist Church, which is also located near the country’s oldest and biggest university, Makerere. This ministry has activities designed to reach college and University with the claims of Christ.
Melt down - A Sunday evening youth music ministry event designed to give youth a fun evening with interludes of quiet reflection.
Young Adults Ministry - This ministry is designed to meet the needs of members that are fresh out of college and those that are at the threshold of their career lives.
Couples ministry - This is designed to meet the specific needs of married people in the congregation. Monthly events are planned to meet the various needs of couples.
Cup of Cold Water - A ministry dedicated to meeting the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.
This ministry has done a lot to bring hope and comfort to the people living with HIV/AIDS especially in the community around the church. Every saturday afternoon people living with the virus or affected by HIV/AIDS meet for lunch and mutual encouragement.
Children’s ministry
The church is running a highly functional and successful children’s ministry.
Compassion Children’s Ministry programme - This is a Compassion International assisted Children’s ministry.
Currently (April 2008), the programme has 329 registered children. 109 are in primary school, 179 are in secondary school and 41 are in tertiary institutions.
Awana - This ministry is committed to ministering to the needs of children that come from the neighbourhood of the church.
Another highly effective ministry is the regular Sunday school ministry, which runs alongside the first and second church services on Sunday.
Women’s ministry
This is a vibrant ministry that brings together all the women in the Church, regardless of how old they are. One of the ministry’s regular events is the Ladies prayer breakfast, which takes place early in the morning on every third Saturday of the month.
Worship ministry
Kampala Baptist Church has over the years enjoyed fine worship courtesy of the Church’s dedicated worship ministry members.
Besides the regular Sunday and Saturday services, the worship ministry has always put together fine productions, covering the major events on the Church calendar.
